Who we are

We are Dr. Josua Vieten and Dr. Friedemann Call, (“the ExoMatter Team”), two researchers working on the start-up project ExoMatter with support by the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and the Helmholtz Association. Further members will be added to the ExoMatter Team in the future.
This website is privately owned by Josua Vieten as the responsible contact person and owner. The website is no way operated or owned by the German Aerospace Center (DLR) or the Helmholtz Association. Any statements made on this website represent solely the personal opinion of the ExoMatter Team.
The name “ExoMatter” refers to the spin-off project and does not constitute an independent legal entity.

Google Analytics

Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland. The use of Google Analytics helps us analyze how our website is used, and therefore allows us to provide the best experience for our users. Google Analytics makes use of cookies. Cookies are text files stored on your computer containing information on how you interact with our website. The information generated by these cookies (including your IP address) will be transferred to Google’s servers in the United States and stored there. Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the ExoMatter website and generate aggregated reports based on this data. These will be viewed and analyzed by the ExoMatter Team.
Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law or where such third parties process this data on Google’s behalf. According to Google, your IP address will never be associated with any other data held by Google.

Using the ExoMatter Dashboard

Accounts for the ExoMatter Dashboard (https://dashboard.exomatter.ai) are created by invitation only for pilot partners, (potential) customers, and those interested in our services. Self-signup is not possible. Our services are currently only intended to be used by professional users, not by private individuals.
By using the account, you agree you agree to the storage and processing of your personal data (email address, password, and name) for the purpose of delivering our services to you. You also allow us to contact you for marketing and business development purposes. We also reserve the right to use access logs for analytical purposes.
While the data we provide has been gathered to the best of our ability and knowledge, we do not accept any liability for the accuracy and completeness of the data. ExoMatter provides a list of materials candidates we deem suitable for a specific application through our algorithms. The suitability of this candidates for any application, the safety of these materials, and their economic viability must always be verified by trained personnel.
Our demo datasets are intended as a demonstration of the capabilities of the dashboard and cannot be applied for productive use cases. Reproduction of the demo data and sharing it with third parties is not permitted. This does not apply to unaltered raw data gathered by ExoMatter from publicly available sources.
If we created a personalized dataset for you, this dataset is only meant to be viewed by your organization. Sharing this data with third parties is only permitted with explicit consent by ExoMatter. As a user, you are responsible for the security of your account. You must not share your account information (username and password) with any third parties. Users are required to change their start password after the first login to their account. Users must never share account passwords with anyone, including the ExoMatter Team. We reject any liability for unauthorized access to your dataset by third parties incurred through unauthorized access to your password.
Personalized datasets can be used for commercial and scientific purposes within your own organization and their subsidiaries. This includes the use of this data as the starting point for own R&D, leading to the development of new technology and inventions. Sharing parts or all of the data with any third parties (including scientific publications and patents) requires the explicit consent by ExoMatter. This does not apply to unaltered raw data gathered by ExoMatter from publicly available sources.
Reproduction and reverse engineering of our algorithms are not permitted.
We reserve the right to terminate any user account immediately upon violation of any of the above-stated terms.


Processing and storage of personal data

If you sign up for one of our services through contact forms or meeting schedulers on our website, you give consent to the storage and processing of your personal data for the purpose of receiving the requested information from us. You also allow us to contact you for marketing and business development purposes.
By signing up to these services, you acknowledge that the purpose of “ExoMatter” is the setup of an independent commercial entitity as a spin-off. Therefore, your data will continue to be used after the end of the spin-off project by the ExoMatter Team.
Our website includes external links to third-party webpages and embedded videos that may collect your data upon clicking the link or viewing. We are not responsible for the content of these external pages.


Who we share your data with

Your data is shared with any current and future members of the ExoMatter team, as long as it is neccessary for the purposes stated above.
Personal data you share with us is processed and stored through external services for data connection, scheduling, and customer relationship management, namely Integromat and Hubspot, and for appointment bookings additionally through OnceHub ScheduleOnce, Google Meet and Google Calendar.


What rights you have over your data

If you signed up for our newsletter, you can unsubscribe from this newsletter by clicking the link on the bottom of the e-mail.
If you have registered for any of our services, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can revoke your consent to the use and/or transfer of your data to third parties any time and request full deletion of all personal data via e-mail to . This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
